Cameron J. Sabet is a medical student, researcher, journalist, and investor who treats each discipline as a lens on the same underlying question: how do we make people healthier?

As Senior Staff with The Lancet Global Burden of Disease Initiative, he has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications cited 13,000+ times, with lead-author work in Nature Reviews Chemistry, The BMJ, The Lancet, The Lancet Psychiatry, and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and additional research in press at the New England Journal of Medicine. He is an Academic Editor at PLOS ONE and co-authored The 2025 Lancet US Presidential Briefing Book.

That same curiosity carries into medical journalism. Sabet has written for The Washington Post, The New York Times, Smithsonian Magazine, Teen Vogue, and The Hill, and created and hosts Cutting to the Case, a national health and leadership show with guests including Mark Cuban, Nobel laureates, NASA astronauts, U.S. ambassadors, and the heads of the American Medical Association, Kaiser Permanente, Hewlett-Packard, and Humana.

His work has been recognized with Harvard University's Young Global Catalyst Award, and he was IHME's 2025 nominee for the National Academy of Sciences' Cozzarelli Prize. Alongside his academic and media work, he is Founding Director and Principal of Multifaceted Capital ($23M), Chief Strategy Officer of CardioVis, and serves on the boards of Paratus Health and Niura.

Sabet graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, earning both a BA and MA while studying management at Wharton.
